I chose to show with the Cat Association and more recently Felis Britannica, primarily because the environment and judging style are geared towards the comfort, security and happiness of the cat, with large pens and the opportunity for the owner to stay close by throughout the day.

Being able to watch the judges go over each cat presents an excellent opportunity for breeders and owners to appreciate the judges' interpretation of the breed standard, and gives them an awareness of other bloodlines. This should become even more interesting with the advent of cats from abroad competing in Britain ! It is also a great help to novices, a words and pictures display of perfect presentation, and the ideal features of the Maine Coon.

Tanis and Thea will have a bit to live up to, to follow in their Dad's footsteps, albeit under a different governing body !
